Aire-Flo has been manufacturing HVAC equipment including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners and air handlers for more than 50 years. Some of the company’s furnaces are regarded as high-efficiency heating units, as per the specifications mentioned by the U.S. Department of Energy.
What are the 10 Best Furnaces?
95AF Gas Furnace
The two-stage high-efficiency furnaces in this series have AFUE ratings of up to 95 percent and feature a variable speed blower, aluminum steel heat exchanger and fused low-voltage circuit protective elements. Although small in size, these units are flexible and have a heating capacity range of 40,000 to 100,000 Btu/h. They are available in upflow/horizontal versions. These units can be converted to LP gas applications.
92AF Gas Furnace
The high-efficiency furnaces in this series have AFUE ratings of up to 92.1 percent and feature an aluminum steel heat exchanger and 5-ampere fused low-voltage circuit protection. These small, flexibile units have a heating capacity in the range of 45,000 to 125,000 Btu/h. They are available in upflow, upflow/horizontal and counterflow versions. These units can be converted to LP gas applications as well.
80AF Gas Furnace
The gas furnaces in this series are considered to be in the mid-efficiency range, according to the manufacturer. These units feature aluminum steel heat exchangers, 5-ampere fused low-voltage circuit protection and pre-painted cabinets made of heavy gauge, corrosion-resistant steel. These have a heating size range between 50,000 and 125,000 Btu/h.
Care and Maintenance for Aire-Flo Furnaces
Aire-Flo recommends that at the start of every heating season the furnace should be thoroughly checked by a qualified technician. In particular, the technician should check components that include the blower, filters, exhaust and air intake pipes, as well as the electrical wiring. In addition, the heat exchanger and the burner assembly should be cleaned.
Aire-Flo furnaces are eligible for a 10-year limited extended warranty, which is over and above the basic coverage provided by the basic limited warranty program and requires the owner to register online within 60 days of installation. The units’ aluminum heat exchangers are eligible for a 20-year limited warranty, while other qualifying parts are eligible for a 5-year limited warranty.
