"Too old of furnace"

5.0 rating
Very Satisfied

These reviews are for furnaces that are old, not the new ones. The installation has everything to do with the efficiency and reliability of the furnace. First I would say that most of the problems are by so-called contractors that slam them in or hire youngsters to do the install. Second, if a company is charging you absorbent labor rates, they are not an honest company. The new Air Ease furnace is up there with the very best of any brands. I am removing the old Air Ease that we installed 22- 25 years ago now. Even the old 93% furnace was a good product. The new Air Ease comes with lifetime heat exchanger 10 years parts and 2 years labor not one. I could have been a Trane dealer but I chose Air Ease.

"Problem furnace or poor company?"

2.0 rating

I am very disappointed to read the bad reviews on this discontinued model but sure wish I had read them before buying it 9 years ago! The dealer/installer is part of the problem – many complaints I now find about them! Actually, the furnace performed quite satisfactorily for 5 years when the fan blower motor's control module failed. The company replaced it under warranty but I still had to pay an exorbitant charge for installation which I could easily have done myself. Now 4 years on the same thing happened and this time having been quoted a ludicrous c$1800 for a replacement motor (not installed!) I decided to shop for a used module which cost me c$130 and the motor is working again. However for the past year or so I have been having repeated pressure switch problems – can find no issues with venting etc but I do know that Armstrong Air quietly switched to new pressure switches in 2011 – suggesting know failures. Most HVAC techs really do not seem to know much and will just swap out parts until the problem "appears" to be fixed! Pressure switch problems are common with all furnaces so not just with this manufacturer/model. As for the ECM blower failures, I am sure it is caused by the inadequate old duct-work in the house and these he furnaces, with ECM motors at least, should not be installed in old systems and the installers (Atlantis) should have to know that! I certainly regret being duped by the company and the Government rebates into replacing my 40-year-old inefficient furnace which worked without constant maintenance. This whole industry is a scam!

Love my new AirEase furnace. Very quiet and makes the house so very comfortable. Everything Phil at Donovan and Jorgenson said it would be.

"Top furnace on the market"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

The furnaces listed on this site are 10 – 15 years old. The new AirEase furnaces are top of the line. Quiet, effiicient, and very durable with their stainless steel primary and secondary heat exchangers. The AirEase furnace installed by my contractor has worked flawlessly, and is so quiet you can't here it.

"Great furnace with great comfort!"

I had the Airease 97% modulating gas furnace installed in 2015. The comfort it provides is exceptional. I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend to anyone for their home!
