13 SEER R-410A Split-System Heat Pump

The 13 SEER heat pump is equipped with a full-metal jacket with pre-coat paint, increasing its resistance to weather damage. The heat pump features a time/temperature defrost and muffler to minimize operational sound. Either brazed or quick connect connections are available.

14-16 SEER R-410A Split-System Heat Pump

Additional features of the 14 and 16 SEER split system are the lubricated motor, one-piece top design and composite base designed to mute sound. The 14 SEER unit has a single-stage compressor protected by a high pressure switch, while the 16 SEER unit comes with high/low pressure switches and a two-stage cooling, Ultra-tech scroll compressor for enhanced efficiency.

13-15 SEER Packaged System Heat Pumps (small footprint)

The 13 and 15 SEER systems, with their lubricated motors, are compact, wire-guarded and have weather- and rust-resistant coatings. The 15 SEER unit is particularly quiet, according to the manufacturer, due to its sound blanket and swept-wing fan blade. That unit also comes standard with an outdoor thermostat.

13 SEER Packaged System Heat Pumps (large footprint)

The large footprint heat pumps, which also come with lubricated motors, are likewise wire-guarded and protected from rust and weather extremes. High/low pressure switches, a 5-minute restart time delay and a suction accumulator protect the compressor, while the demand defrost feature ensures only necessary defrosting is performed. Whether mounted on slabs or rooftops, the heat pump can provide airflow various ways.

Intertherm generally offers a 1-year warranty on parts and labor and a 5-year compressor warranty. An optional parts and labor plan can extend protection. The small footprint 15 SEER unit comes with a 10-year standard warranty.

Intertherm Heat Pump Reviews

"Died after 19 years"

5.0 rating
Very Satisfied

The 3.5 ton unit lasted 19 years. Everything is rusted but the darn unit just kept working … for 19 years. The reversing valve failed and the unit is pushing hot air … in the summer. I'm not repairing it of course. Getting a new unit.

Very Unsatisfied

House set to 67 degrees at night and to heat home to 70 degrees at 6 am. Heating cycles for 3.5 hours coming on and off ever 5 to 7 minutes. Cycling back on and off is driving me crazy when the thermastat says 70 degrees already by 6:30 am. Installer says this is normal but electric company and two other contractors say it's not? I'd love imput to tell me this is normal for a heat pump or is not normal. Contractor says he'll do no more because it's working properly? Cycling on and off every 5 to 7 minutes for 3.5 hours to raise the house temp 3 degrees?
