Lennox Heat Pump Reviews

"Coil replacement"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

We have had this system only a little over five years and have three holes in our coils. It cost us a service call which was $232.00, along with having to replace the coil system which was another $932.00. We are very unhappy with the Lennox system. When we have to replace the total system it will not be Lennox. I'm a very unhappy customer. Our first system lasted us 14 years, it was by Rudd.

"Horrible and Unreliable!"

We live in Phoenix…enough said! We have a 7 yr old unit and we are now in our 2nd summer of non stop breaking down of the unit. Today it was 111 outside and the unit overheats and shuts down. Thank god we have a 10 yr warrenty, but the unrelible feeling of this crappy unit is nerve racking and down right dangerous. We are getting the Lennox field service rep involved and I plan on call Lennox corporate office to demand a new unit. This has been a nightmare…………….stay tuned! I recommend you never buy a Lennox!

"Reliable Heat Pump"

5.0 rating
Very Satisfied

My hpxa19-036 heat pump has been everything I expected from a top of the line heat pump. No troubles. It's matched up with a top of the line air handler w/ a variable speed blower. My father & uncle both own the same model indoor/outdoor units as well, installed by the same dealer and their units have given them zero trouble. All three of us service our units twice a year as well. For those who have had expansion valve failures, there has been a higher failure rate industry wide the last few years, not just Lennox. You could have bought a Trane and had the same problem. Studies I have seen prove the better the dealer sticks to recommended installation procedures (purging nitrogen while soldering), the lower percentage failure rate. So choose your dealer wisely.
