First had to change compressor last year! local and only distributor charge me a fortune. This year the thermostat screen when blank…cost with the local technician over 500$. a small not remote/wifi thermostat… I do not recommend the product and the saving advertised is not even close to what I experience

"Mitsubishi ductless-The Money Pit"

Total waste of money and then money to attempt to fix (and attempt to find leaks that will never be found). Don't waste your time or money. Mitsubishi and their "Diamond Dealers" are clueless. If it wasn't for our Buck Stove and our old oil furnace we'd be freezing!

"Warning in Specifications"

2.0 rating

The Mr. Slim system we have should not be sold by our local authorized Michigan dealer or allowed to be sold here by Mitsubishi. We found out the hard way that by its own specifications in the manual, and not covered in the troubleshooting section, that the guaranteed operating range goes down to -5 F. At that point it "may" stop until the outside temperature rises above that level. Ours definitely stops at or near that outside temperature, just when you need it most, and even a well insulated house gets cold quickly in those conditions. It otherwise works okay, though we already have ample leaking water from one unit when cooling, despite regular maintenance including filter cleanings. Hopefully that fix is modest, we'll find out next cooling season.

"The worst!!!"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

I never knew a heating/cooling system could be so terrible. I am moving because of this. When it's below 35 outside, the unit does not heat. There are too many settings and buttons on the remote. The remote is not illuminated so you have to turn on a light to adjust anything in the night. It takes about 2 hours to warm the house up, then it's too hot. I've never had to adjust a heating/cooling system this much in my life. In the summer, two of my units leaked water, one pouring out. A service, which was a cleaning and a vacuuming out of the lines ran me $300. My winter bills are outrageous. Sometimes the unit will not blow anything for 10 minutes while it 'thinks' so you're sitting in a freezing or hot house while this system figures out what it needs to do. I've come home in the summer with my house terribly hot, with my animals panting, putting my pets in danger of heat exhaustion. I can't leave on a trip and trust that the pet sitter will know how to work it or that the unit will actually keep the house at the right temperature. One last thing, it dehydrated the heck out of you. I had to buy a humidifier because I was getting so terribly dehydrated from this machine. What a total piece of crap. Would probably work good for an added on room or workshop but not for your main source of air. I want to bash it to pieces.

"Customer Service – useless"

4.0 rating

After misplacing the Mitsubishi manual on my heat pump, I called to get some info on why my unit was not able to bring up my room temp above 64' – when the outside temp was 35'. (Filters have been cleaned) When I TRIED to do an on-line chat, I was offered the option of a phone call back or e-mail. I opted for a call back thinking it would be quicker. However, I was told that I was communicating with an INBOUND CALL CENTER. Okay, then WHY was I offered the "call-back feature"??? Update on 12/12/2016: Seattle City Light encourages their customers to invest in a ductless heating & cooling system to "save money". What they don't tell us is these units require expensive maintenance (see other reviews) after a few short years. Even trying to get filters is an issue NOT YET RESOLVED. The company that install this unit is no longer in business. So, now I am supplementing this unit with a portable heat source to bring up my room temp to 68'. So, WHERE IS THE SAVINGS?
