Corporate History

Heat Transfer Products, Inc was established in 1974. The company was the first to introduce modulating/condensing technology to the market with the Munchkin boiler. The company now refers to itself as HTP, dropping the Heat Transfer Products name. Since 2010 HTP has released over 20 new products, and in 2015 the company became a solar thermal products manufacturer and supplier.

Product Lines

The HTP line of four residential boilers includes the Pioneer, which has an efficiency of up to 95% AFUE and is an Energy Star Most Efficient 2015 product.

The company’s line of water heaters includes gas, oil, electric and solar products, as well as the SuperStor indirect water heater, which is constructed of 316L stainless steel and uses environmentally safe water blown insulation to reduce heat loss.

HTP’s solar products include solar tanks/water heaters, solar collectors, and related accessories.

Older series of Heat Transfer Products boilers are often referred to as the Honeywell series or the Honeywell Pre-925 series (sold until in November 2002), the Munchkin R1 (Revision 1), built between November 2002 and December 2006, and the Munchkin R2 (Revision 2) built after December 2006. The R2 was discontinued in January 2011.

The warranty from HTP varies from product to product. Residential boilers are covered by a 12-year parts warranty, prorated after the 7th year. Water heater warranties range from 5 to 10 years, with a limited lifetime warranty on certain models of the Everlast stainless steel water heater.

Select HTP products registered within 90 days of installation are eligible for an extended warranty.

"Everlast,,, the Last Ever!"

Stainless tank. No anode required. After four years with surface well only very slightly hard. Both elements threaded portion completely disintegrated. What a piece of crap. Dissimilar metals used between the male and female portions obviously. Do they even know what they are doing ? It just so happens I was here to avoid a major flood. Do not buy this piece of crap. Ed

"Elements keep blowing after 5 months"

I had an 80-gallon HTP water installed less than 2 years ago. I'm already on my 3rd replacement. On the 3rd replacement, I'm on my 3rd set of heating elements. I had my last water heater for 20 years. This company should be ashamed of themselves for selling a piece of shit like this. Something that is so crucial to running a household. I want my money back now!!
