"Didn't work on day one"

Easter morning woke up to water everywhere, bought new from Home Depot, got it installed and found out the fvs sensor was missing, now Home Depot is closed. Next day went back to Home Depot got a sensor from another unit. Installed that, wouldn't start, called tech and was told how to reset, fan came on, tech said should be good and I hung up. Nope, now no ignition, called tech again, tried to see if spark happens, nope. Now I have to wait for new board to come overnight and hope that fixes it. Will never buy Rheem anything ever. 3 days no hot water is not happy.

Just a heads up do not ever buy a Rheem water heater from Home Depot. We purchased 1. It would never light. Went back got a second 1. It lit and lasted only a few hours. Apparently Richmond from Menards is made by the same company. Wasted 120 gallons of water than went to Lowe's and bought Powerflex made by AO Smith and it fired right up!!!

"Poor quality power vent"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

Bought in 2007 just to upgrade from 20+year old one. Have replaced the power vent three times (at $360 just for the part.) The part that goes bad is just the bearings in the motor, but you can't get just the bearings or just the motor. You have to buy the whole unit. Seems to me they could put some better quality bearings in if you can't replace them or the motor. I would not recommend this product unless you like spending money & going without hot water for a few days, every 4 or 5 years

"Tank failed within a year of the expired warranty"

The tank on our 75 gallon power vent Rheem hot water heater is leaking and the entire unit needs to be replaced at a cost of $2200. I called Rheem but they don't care. Tis is a bad company that makes a poor product.

"Poor customer service"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

The warranty started when it was made, not installed. Has to be the poorest warranty I ever saw. I will never buy another thing made by Rheem or G.E. as long as I live. They said they would give me a 30 day grace period, even though the problem started 3 weeks ago, and now it is over by 1 day so they can't cover it.
